Futsal i Sverige spelas vid amatörnivå samt organiseras från Svenska Fotbollförbundet (SvFF). kom sporten mot Sverige då nätverket arrangerade SM[1]. delade för inledande gången ut priset Årets futsalspelare. spelades den inledande officiella landskampen då landet bjöds in till ett av FIFA sanktionerad turnering i Iran[2]. Sedan äger Sverige spelat futsal i enlighet med FIFA:s (det internationella fotbollsförbundet) regelverk. Futsal klassificerades då som den enda varianten av inomhusfotboll av Svenska Fotbollförbundet (SvFF). startade SvFF Sveriges herrlandslag i futsal och inledande landskampen inom SvFFs regi spelades identisk år mot Frankrike inom Göteborg. Landslaget EM- samt VM-kvalar.

Sveriges damlandslag inom futsal spelade sin inledande landskamp inom april , i Örebro mot Tjeckien.[3]

    Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that originates from South America in the s. It is widely played across the world and is the small sided football format that is officially recognized by both UEFA and FIFA. The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure.

    Futsal began in Uruguay and Brazil where the large crowded cities and a shortage of playing pitches forced a football-mad populace to play small sided football and in the first rules emerged. Futsal was the name chosen by FIFA, which is simply a combination of the Spanish words for ‘hall’ (Sala) and ‘football’ (Futbol): hence ‘Futsal’. Futsal is a five-a-side game, normally played on a flat indoor pitch with hockey sized goals and a size 4 ball with a reduced bounce. It is played to touchlines and all players are free to enter the penalty area
    and play the ball over head-height. Games are 20 minutes per half, played to a stopping clock (similar to basketball) with time-outs permitted. There are a number of differences to our traditional version of small sided football, but the dominant elements are the absence of reboun

    Futsal is soccer’s younger cousin. Some believe that its invention came from the love of short-sided or pickup soccer. 

    It is played with five players per team, on a hard surface and the duration of the game is only 40 minutes. The Futsal ball is smaller than a traditional soccer ball and players wear indoor shoes or flats.

    Futsal is a fast-paced version of the beautiful game that allows players to get many touches on the ball. Plus, physical contact is discouraged which makes it a great sport for kids as well as adults.  

    The History of Futsal

    Soccer is called football in most of the world. It is believed this is where the name “Futsal” stems from. The game of futsal was invented in Montevideo, Uruguay in Football (Soccer) was already the top sport in the country, but after Uruguay won gold medals in the and Summer Olympics and the World Cup in it saw a jump in popularity. 

    A teacher, Juan Carlos Ceriani, developed the new game as a recreational indoor soccer (or indoor football) game to play in gyms or basketball courts in YMCAs. His goal was to create a game similar to soccer that could be played indoors or outd
